What We Do

Our experts work closely with our clients to plan, prepare, and implement compliant integrity programs. This includes the development of programs, manuals, and procedures. Our team performs risk assessments and engineering assessments in order to prepare a comprehensive program. Once the program has been created and implemented, we can provide training and record management solutions to make the implementation as efficient and smooth as possible.

If you already have a pipeline integrity program in place, we can review and enhance that program. We can also provide you with a regulatory liaison (AER, BCER, MER, CER) and regulatory advice. We complete both corporate and field program audits to ensure you are remaining compliant to regulations and to your integrity program. We also assist in the integration of acquisitions.

An engineering assessment, as defined by CSA Z662, is a documented evaluation of a pipeline’s fitness for service, considering all relevant variables. These assessments are critical when applying for license amendments, such as changes in substance, sweet to sour, flow reversals, reactivations, or increases in Maximum Operating Pressure (MOP). Common ILI methods include caliper inspections for geometric measurement, magnetic flux leakage for detecting metal loss, and ultrasonic techniques for more detailed assessments. Vision Integrity specializes in analyzing the data from these inspections, identifying potential issues that may require further investigation, and providing detailed evaluations according to industry standards such as ASME B31G or API 579. Additionally, we offer pipeline dig support and non-destructive examination (NDE) services to ensure that any necessary repairs or interventions are effectively executed.

Vision Integrity conducts these inspections both on foot and using drones, ensuring comprehensive coverage even in remote areas. The frequency of these inspections is determined by factors like population density, terrain, and specific risks such as third-party activity or encroachment. For most clients, an annual survey is recommended. Vision Integrity offers the added benefit of combining multiple services, such as CP surveys, signage inspections, road and rail crossings, water crossings, leak detection, and fugitive emissions assessments, into a single visit.
