Vacuum Box Testing is a non-destructive testing method that is used to locate weld seam leaks. Vacuum Box Testing uses a vacuum box and compressor to create high- or low-pressure vacuum while a detergent solution is applied to test the area. The detergent creates bubbles when a leak has been located. Vacuum Box Testing is primarily used with tank floors, ERW seamed pipe in pipelines, pressure vessels, and welds. Our personnel are experienced in vacuum box testing and trained with our in-house program and capably perform your testing needs.
